Living here with British immigrant parents, I have a lot of perspective on the country I live in. LOVE: The great food. British food is very bland in comparison. Although, the great mix of cultures allows for unrivaled variety. HATE: The unmistakable ignorance that plagues us. I always find myself explaining to bewildered friends what and where places like Prague and Vienna are. LOVE: How everybody is so friendly to each other in comparison to many other countries. HATE: The apathy that we have when it comes to politics or international affairs. Why do people blindly support the political party they have been trained by equally blind parents to support? Nobody seems to try and use their own brains. LOVE: The amazing diversity that the country has. HATE: The lack of motivation for us to go beyond our borders. People are far too often led to taking their tenth trip to Hawaii without even considering the possibilities of an international experience. HATE: The poor use of the nation's position as the most influencial super power. LOVE: USA
