Football is a mistake. It combines the two worst elements of American life. Violence and committee meetings.

Everyone who bases their opinions of America on what others' tell them and not on actual facts or experiences should not mindlessly pass judgment. We take all the criticism because we are the most powerful country in the world today, and will continue to take the "beatings" until some other country surpasses us and the international spotlights shifts. Also I've noticed that most of the criticism America receives are of the policies of the Bush administration and that everyone judges the "typical" American as having those same views. George Bush' approval rating is somewhere around 28% and is already going down in history as one of the worst presidents we've ever had the misfortune to live under. We know our problems, you don't need to tell us. The message spreading very rapidly across America is hope. After the 2008 elections hopefully we can undergo the long, difficult journey of fixing some of our faults and begin mending our shattered reputation, but in the meantime you can stop complaining about our country and evaluate your own country and resolve your own dilemmas.
