Michel.....The US has ALWAYS been bashed by the world's media and still are. We are no better or no worse then any other country, but we are constantly under the worlds microscope which baffles me. Just type in "stupid Americans" and see what comes up. You will find all sorts of editorials, polls, & surveys about the evil warmongering Americans and what a stupid, fat, uncultured bunch of rednecks we all are. America bashing seems to be in fashion worldwide. What you won't find much on is about what the rest of world has their fingers in. (That is, France not "kowtowing to the US gov war plans" had nothing to do with why they didn't join us in Iraq. It was the nasty little oil deals Chirac had with Saddam, but of course that was not aired near as much.) Our dirty laundry has always been aired for the rest of the world to see. They point fingers at us, while their hands are just as dirty as ours. I don't agree with everything Bush has done either, but he isn't the epitome of evil like he has been made out to be by the world press. Bush has been blamed for so much of the world's problems that it will be interesting to see who or what will be blamed after he is gone. You can be sure it will ALL be America's fault.....it has to be......somehow.
